I love this edition, too! The flowers are gorgeous. I really miss walking around L.A., the Rose Bowl, the Farmers Market. Being able to walk and enjoy the day is one of the biggest losses for me since Long Covid. Absolutely love the photo, too, it’s a moving photo. Also, thanks for the audiobook recommendations! Please give me more!

Yeah - being able to stroll around was something I could never fathom not being able to do. It is truly wild. I have a lot of audiobook recommendations - Babel is another!

I just love getting your newsletters, Naomi. We are in Italy for a couple weeks and I'm taking the day off from sightseeing to just chill on the ship. Maria has a new floor in the kitchen of her new house and will soon get new cabinets and paint. I hope you get a chance to visit her in Tacoma soon.

Have you ever raised bonsai trees? I've been growing them for about 20 years. I still have the second and third trees I ever got and they have taught me patience. Would you like one? If so I will send you one. Would you prefer one that comes inside in the winter or one that stays outside?

Hello Patsy! I am so glad you are enjoying my newsletter. Italy! how wonderful - I have seen some of your pictures on FB, very fun. I can't wait to see Maria's new house! I don't have anywhere to put a bonsai tree at the moment - but I will let you know as soon as I do. thank you so much for the offer!

I’ll be in Tacoma in September if you’re ready for a bonsai. My oldest tree has been with me since 1999 and I have lots of her children. They (Benjamin ficus) are very easy to take care of and easy to grow. Let me know if you want me to bring you one. I’ll even custom make a pot for it.
